Welcome to Surf Sounds at Galveston Island,
This is a very special place for us. As we approach the Galveston Island Causeway and see the bay waters, the stresses of city life begin to ebb. When we turn on to Seawall Boulevard, our eyes are immediately taken to the rolling waters and coastal birds of the Gulf of Mexico and our ears tune in to the sounds of the surf. The hustle of the big city completely evaporates as we enter the house, and we are mentally and physically on vacation!
We are located in Pirates’ Beach West, which we believe has the best beachside plan and layout on the Island. A natural pond extends across the development and Galveston Island State Park is on the west border. The building standards, landscaping requirements, low density and restricted land reserves all contribute to the special feel of the location. We picked a lot that overlooks a state owned nature preserve and provides panoramic views of the Gulf, which is only a block and a half walk or golf cart ride away. We hired a prominent architect, Eubanks Group, and a top notch contractor, Oceanwood Homes, with the objective of building much more than a weekend retreat or a beach cottage.
